THE HOUSE

Our house, "Filou", is situated in the beautiful Lot-et-Garonne, in Anzex, a little village nestled between the sunflower fields and the beautiful pine forests of the Landes de Gascogne. It is an 1850 stone farmhouse, with plenty of original features, renovated in 2007. It is situated only a stonethrow away from Casteljaloux and its lake, swimming pools, golf course, thermal spas, shops and restaurants.

Wildlife is all around: deers, rabbits, badgers, hedgehogs, pheasants, partridges, birds of prey and herons are the most common visitors.

Around here, the absence of pollution and of artificial light allows you to admire the stars. We were stunned by the sight when we first moved here, as we never saw them like this before! Ideal location for the night of shooting stars, in August.

The rental of the house as a "gîte" includes the exclusive use of the 4 en-suite bedrooms (described below), a 334 sqft equipped kitchen, a 538 sqft dining room, a 538 sqft terrace, a 645 sqft lounge with sofas and TV, reading area and full-size pool table, with stunning panoramic views of the countryside. Free access also to 2.5 acres of fenced garden. Secure off-road parking.

The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezers, 5 rings cookers, microwave, kettle and coffee perculator, work tables, sinks and cooking utensils. The china and cuttlery are provided too.

The house has different levels and all bedrooms are situated on the first floor, therefore is unsuitable for wheelchairs.

We provide baby equipment such as bed, bath and highchair free of charge, subject to availability.

Pets are not allowed.

Smoking is only permitted outside the house.

THE BEDROOMS

There are 4 spacious and comfortable double bedrooms of an average size of 21m² (226 sqft), all with en-suite facilities, and decorated to a high standard.

Decoration and furniture will be in a traditional French style, the rooms have plenty of character with exposed stone walls and sloping ceilings showing original oak beams. The perfect mix of rusticity and luxury.

2008 PRICES:

From January 2008 to 30th June 2008: EUR. 1300 per week, for up to 8 people.

From 1st July 2008 to 31st August 2008: EUR. 1450 per week, for up to 8 people

From 1st September 2008 to 15th December 2008: EUR. 1300 per week, for up to 8 people.

The above prices include the exclusive use of the described accommodation for 6 nights, for up to 8 people, as well as a welcome hamper. The bed linen and towels are provided.

Breakfast and evening meals can be served if ordered, at additional cost.

Extra services are available (at additional cost), such as house keeping, laundry, picnic baskets, bike rentals, ...
