Fishing and hunting holidays in South-West France. Small game, big game and fishing on a private estate.

Hunting is one of the true passions of the natives of the Lot-et-Garonne, it is part of their lifestyle. The flora of the region makes it the ideal place for hunting, with its vast forests. Stay with us and to go fishing, small game hunting, big game hunting, or combinations of the 3. Only Available for a minimum of 2 days hunting (3 nights).

The fishing and hunting activities are organised by a nearby private estate (620 acres), managed by a professional English-speaking team, passionate about nature and totally devoted to making your experience a memorable one. The domain is 90% woods and 10% fallow land. Both the land and the animals (hounds and game) are managed and looked after with great care. They beautifully maintain the estate, making it an enchanted and peaceful surrounding, for a truly amazing adventure.

SMALL GAME HUNTING:

The estate offers a wide variety of game birds: pheasants (common, black and reeves), grey and red partridges, and migratory birds such as woodcocks and pigeons. Some of the birds are raised on the domain itself, in really vast enclosures to make sure they stay as wild as possible. The estate's hounds are available by the day to accompany your party, but you can also hunt with your own dogs. The small game is usually hunted with pointers, but can also be hunted with beaters or from stands if desired. You can hunt alone or in a group, with a gamekeeper to guide you.

Available from September to March.

You get here in the afternoon on day 1. We share a welcome drink and canapés. We have dinner.

On days 2 and 3, You drive to the domain in the morning, after breakfast. Hunting starts around 9:00 am. You have lunch at the lodge (cost included), then back to hunting. You come back home around 6 o'clock in the afternoon, to relax before dinner.

Departure is after breakfast on day 4.

BIG GAME & SMALL GAME HUNTING:

The big game includes wild boars, roe-deers, brockets, stags, hinds and fawns. They are raised on site, but naturally, so they are totally wild. Be sure they will try to foil your every ruse, as they know every square inch of the estate.

Safety is maximised: big game hunting is done from 2 meters high shooting hides. The game is flushed out of the woods by the pack of dogs or with beaters and fox terriers, as you wish. The quality of the game and the wide open firing lines insure that even difficult shots can be executed in the safest possible conditions.

You also have the possibility to stalk your chosen beast for the trophy of a lifetime with your rifle or bow.

Available from September to February, only at weekends. Big game hunting is not available 2 days on a row. The second day will be small game hunting.

Friday: you arrive in the afternoon, and settle in. We share a welcome drink and canapés. We have dinner.

Saturday: we take you to the domain in the morning after breakfast. Hunting starts around 10 am., after the "casse-croûte" (snack) shared with the other hunters. After your day of hunting, you have dinner at the lodge with the other hunters (cost included), then we bring you back to the house for the night.

Sunday: You drive to the domain in the morning after breakfast. Hunting starts around 9:00 am. You have lunch at the lodge (cost included), then back to hunting. You drive back home around 6 o'clock in the afternoon, to relax before dinner.

Departure is after breakfast on Monday.
